Two weeks ago, I set foot in Valparaíso for the first time, a city that, as the name suggests, is a paradise. The atmosphere is peaceful, the people are serene, and the food is fantastic.
Of course, I took my camera and took some pictures, most of them of the dunes, which was something that impressed me.
Between the skyscrapers of a large city and the Pacific Ocean that borders the country, there are incredibly high dunes where people go to enjoy the sunset, play with their pets, or simply relax after a day of work.
The downside is that I brought 1 kg of sand inside my sneakers into the AirBNB apartment where I stayed, and it took me about a week to get all the sand out, as it was very fine, haha.
If you enjoy landscape photography, Chile is an absolutely idyllic country for that subject. It has mountains, desert, dunes, ocean, snow, beaches, and a little bit of everything the planet Earth has to offer.
As night falls, the dunes of Valparaíso take on shapes, in an interesting revelation that connects landscape with human beings. I highly recommend going to Valparaíso not only for the dunes, but for the people!

I love seeing Valparaiso!! In Chile! What I named as the name sake city, I also live in, here in Valparaiso, Indiana🥰 We also have dunes, the next town over in Chesterton. They hug the coast of Lake Michigan. Your photos are divine, Raf!
Great photos. I had no idea about the sand dunes at Valparaiso! Ive have visited Santiago and Punta Arenas but Valparaiso is on my list. Hope to return soon, I will then seek out the sand.
